OB1 masterbatch, Optical Brightener

ผลิตและจำหน่าย เม็ดกัดขาว, เม็ดออพติคอลไบรเทนนเอร์, เม็ดสีกัดขาว, OB1 masterbatch, Optical Brightener สำหรับผสมกับเม็ดพลาสติก เพื่อช่วยเพิ่มความส่วาง, เพิ่มความเงา ทำให้สีของชิ้นงานมีความวาวและมีความสว่างมากขึ้น  ขนาดบรรจุ 25 กก.ต่อ ถุง

Optical Brightener (OB) Masterbatches
Optical Brightener is based on bis-benzoxazole type organic derivative dispersed in poly-olefin polymer. These Masterbatches are added in polymers to reduce yellowing, improved whiteness, and to enhance the brightness of a product. These Masterbatches function by absorbing the ultraviolet radiation and re-emitting the blue light. We have also developed these optical brightener Masterbatches, which produce enhance whiteness and brightness of the product without giving bluer tone.

Thermoplastics, in general have a tendency to provide a slight yellowing tint. This is an inherent property which cannot be eliminated/suppressed by the polymer manufacturers. However, increasing demand of end users need has compelled scientists to look into this area critically. To arrest the yellowing effect, optical brighteners are used. The organic optical brighteners are incorporated in thermoplastic polymers - polyolefins, styrenics, acrylics, poly carbonates, TPU, PET, at low levels and therefore the use of masterbatch is adopted for adequate dispersion in the polymer. Plastiblends range of optical brightener masterbatch for polyolefins processing include D48/10/051. This grade of PBI absorbs invisible Ultra violet light in sunlight or in artificial light source and converts it to visible blue-violet light. Accordingly, the polymer in which PBI’s Optical Brightner is added looks whiter and brighter.

EFFECT OF OB MASTERBATCH IN RECYCLED POLYMER
There is a growing trend and pressure from various agencies to do more and more in relcycling of plastic waste. These wastes can be recycled into variety of products. By using OB the value of recycled material can be significantly enhanced by providing a more uniform white tint. However as compared to normal addition level of OB in virgin polymer application a comparatively higher percentage is required in recycled material. A moderate 0.7 to 1% of OB masterbatch addition is found to be effective in improving the appearance of the recycled material.
