โพลีเอททีลีนแวกซ์เป็นแวกซ์ประเภทมวลโมเลกุลต่ำที่ได้จากโพลีเอททีลีนชนิดความหนาแน่นสูง
ลักษณะเฉพาะของมันคือการมีจุดหลอมละลายสูงและมีความแข็งที่ดีจากอุณหภูมิต่ำไปสูง
นอกจากนี้การมีค่าความหนืดที่กว้างทำให้มันถูกนำไปใช้ได้อย่างหลากหลาย
การใช้ประโยชน์ : โพลีเอททีลีนแวกซ์
(PE-Wax) ถูกใช้เป็นตัวช่วยในกระบวนการการผลิตท่อพีวีซี,
วัสดุหรือวัตถุดิบที่มีรูปร่างพิเศษเฉพาะ, ฟิล์ม,
สายเคเบิ้ล, รวมถึงผลิตภัณฑ์ที่ทำจากยางและพลาสติก
นอกจากนี้ยังถูกนำมาใช้เป็นสารหล่อลื่นและเป็นตัวช่วยในการถอดแบบของโพลีโอเลฟิน (polyolefin)
และพีวีซีด้วย
โดยโพลีเอททีลีนแวกซ์สามารถพัฒนาการไหลของโพลีเอททีลีน, โพลีโพรพิลีน,
พลาสติก ABS และพัฒนาคุณสมบัติในการถอดแบบของโพลีเมทิลเมทาคริเลตและโพลีคาร์บอเนต
ในการผลิตพีวีซีนั้น
โพลีเอททีลีนแวกซ์จะมีการหล่อลื่นภายในดีกว่าการหล่อลื่นภายนอก
นอกจากที่กล่าวมาข้างต้นแล้ว
โพลีเอททีลีนแวกซ์ยังถูกนำมาใช้เป็นสารหล่อลื่นและสารกระจายตัวในการทำเม็ดสีพลาสติก
โดยโพลีเอททีลีนแวกซ์เป็นตัวพัฒนาการกระจายตัวของสารเติมเต็มหรือเม็ดสีต่างๆ
อีกทั้งยังใช้เป็นสารดัดแปรสำหรับกระบวนการผลิตเทียน, พลาสติกและอีลาสโตเมอร์,
และการเคลือบผิวกระดาษด้วย
PE was is High Density
Polyethylene Wax. It is unique with long straight chain molecular structure
that has a narrow molecular weight distribution. It is compatible with all the
other waxes and most resins which provide desirable properties for blending. PE
Wax is used for the production of candles, crayon, hot melt adhesive, lubricant
for plastic and etc.
APPLICATIONS of PE wax,
- Act as the lubricant,
cost-saving agent and release agent in the course of extruding, calendaring,
injecting, blowing and moulding of PE, PP, PVC and other plastic.
- Act as the dispersant for master
batches, pigment, carbon black, additive for parent material, filling parent
material and other pigments.
- Applied in the field of hot melt
road marking material.
- Act as the additive for
shoeshine, floor wax, car wax, polishing wax, chinaware, pill wax, paint,
coating, cable, carbon paper, wax paper, textile softening agent etc.
- As additive for rubber process
and car anti-rust agent etc.
